Q1Are the sizes official?
Yes — each country preset uses its official passport/ID photo dimensions (for example 35 × 45 mm in the EU/UK, 2 × 2 in in the US) and exports at the correct pixel size for 300 DPI printing.
Q2Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Cropping, resizing and the optional background removal all run in your browser. Your photo never leaves your device, and there's no watermark.
Q3How does the white background option work?
When enabled, an on-device AI model separates you from the background and places you on solid white — the colour most passport authorities require. The first run downloads a ~40 MB model that's then cached.
Q4How should I position my face?
Use the oval guide: fit your head inside it and align your eyes with the dashed line. Most authorities want the head to fill 70–80% of the frame height with a neutral expression.
Q5What file do I get?
A print-ready JPEG at the exact pixel dimensions for your selected country at 300 DPI. Take it to any photo printer or upload it to an online application form.
